Leftover Kiwi Fruit Peel-Derived Carbon Dots as a Highly Selective Fluorescent Sensor for Detection of Ferric Ion

نویسندگان

چکیده

Recently, the use of natural products for synthesis carbon dots (CDs) has received much attention. Herein, leftover kiwi (Actinidia Deliciosa) fruit peels were successfully turned into beneficial fluorescent (KN-CDs) via hydrothermal-carbonization route. KN-CDs 1 and 2 prepared without with ammonium hydroxide, respectively. systematically characterized by various analytical techniques. Synthesized showed spherical-shaped morphology narrow size distribution excellent optical properties excitation-independent behaviors. The quantum yields calculated as 14 19%, Additionally, possess prolonging photostability. Because KN-CDs, they utilized sensors. strong fluorescence was selectively quenched Fe3+ ion, quenching behavior a linear correlation concentrations ion. detection ions within concentration range 5–25 µM limit 0.95 0.85 µM, Based on turn-off sensing ions, would be promising candidate selective sensitive sensor.

A highly selective fluorescent sensor for glucosamine.

A new fluorescent chemical sensor for glucosamine is reported. The sensor is based on a boronic acid-containing coumarin aldehyde and shows excellent selectivity for glucosamine by forming a boronic ester with the sugar diol as well as an iminium ion with the amine group of glucosamine. The sensor successfully discriminates glucosamine over other similar biomolecules in terms of both fluorescen...

Nitrogen-Doped Carbon Quantum Dots as Fluorescent Probes for Sensitive and Selective Detection of Nitrite.

Nitrites are the upstream precursors of the carcinogenic nitrosamines, which are widely found in the natural environment and many food products. It is important to develop a simple and sensitive sensor for detecting nitrites. In this work, a fluorescence probe based on nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots (N-CQDs) was developed for the sensitive and selective determination of nitrites. At pH 2, t...

An Electrochemical Sensor Based on Novel Ion Imprinted Polymeric Nanoparticles for Selective Detection of Lead Ions

In this study, the novel surface ion-imprinted polymer (IIP) particles were prepared and applied as a electrode modifier in stripping voltammetric detection of lead(II) ion. A carbon paste electrode (CPE) modified with IIP nanoparticles and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) was used for accumulation of toxic lead ions. Various factors that govern on electrochemical signals including carbon...
